Verdite Monobacking
Turf is often seen as something artificial that replaces something natural. And in a way, that is correct. But we prove that ‘artificial’ and ‘sustainable’ are not mutually exclusive, quite the contrary.
Our grass saves water, does not need chemical fertilisers, etc. In addition, the product itself is highly sustainable: from recycled raw materials to natural infill options. With Verdite, we create one of the last pieces of the puzzle ourselves .
We now produce latex and PU-free finishes that allow us to offer artificial turf made strictly from polyolefin materials. This uniformity significantly simplifies the recycling process, resulting in maximum end-of-life value. What's more, Verdite's mono-material approach is also key to reducing material requirements and minimising CO2 emissions.
What makes a sustainable product?
Material choice
Artificial turf can be made from different types of polymers, such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyamide (PA). Often, different types are mixed to benefit from complementary properties. However, the use of a single material family for all components (backing, yarns, etc.) of an artificial turf system significantly simplifies the recycling process.
Product quality & lifetime
Within the sustainability mantra ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’, the highest goal is simple: consume less. That's why offering sustainable products without compromising on quality or experience is one of our priorities. With Verdite, we have gone one step further. Tests have shown that the innovative finish achieves excellent results in terms of stability, durability and resistance.
Production process
To lower the overall environmental impact of artificial grass, a sustainable production process is essential. Turfgrass prioritizes energy efficiency. And for the energy we do need, we embrace renewable energy sources. Other initiatives include waste management and local production to minimize transport needs.
Recyclabilty
To allow for high-quality recycling, Turfgrass offers mono-material compositions. The Verdite backing ensures the entire artificial grass system is made from materials belonging to the same polyolefin family.
An innovation from our R&D centre
The Verdite Monobacking finish is the result of Turfgrass' work and effort to develop sustainable solutions. It is a proprietary design created and tested internally through lifetime, finish quality and recycling tests.
Verdite models
Reduces CO2 emissions
Verdite reinforces sustainability goals
Turfgrass offers you a simple way to reduce your carbon footprint. For any of our turf solutions, the reduction is at least 11% compared to latex products. And for many, it's up to 30%.
Artificial Turf with European quality seal
ISO 9001 and 14001 certified
Our artificial grass solutions, including Verdite monobacking, are manufactured in Spain.
Local manufacturing
From extrusion through tufting to finishing, we control the entire process and source locally wherever possible. This approach reduces transport and associated CO2 emissions.
Quick and easy installation
Verdite is highly flexible, adapting to the surface.
It uses the same installation methods and materialsyou are used to: same adhesive tape, same glue.
